The Skullerz 8974-MIPS Class E (Electrical) Safety Helmet features an integrated MIPS® Elevate Safety System to increase all-over head protection by reducing the rotational effects associated with dangerous angled impacts. As a two-piece, low-friction suspension design, the MIPS® system allows its safety-crown component to slide freely, in all directions, against its fixed suspension band to minimize the transmission of both linear and rotational forces, protecting the wearer from a broader range of head-impact-related injuries, while simultaneously providing enhanced side-impact protection. And like all Skullerz Safety Helmets, it always provides heavy-duty, yet lightweight and comfortable, protection from top, front and back impacts. A compact PC-ABS, dielectric shell adds additional, overall impact protection, while a smaller, low-profile brim helps to improve the wearer's field of vision, particularly when looking up. A perforated MIPS® safety crown insert helps maximize airflow for breathable, all-day wearing comfort, and a one-size-fits-most format accommodates those who wear hat sizes 6.5 through 8. A premium, easy-adjust ratcheting system allows the wearer to tighten or loosen the fit without having to take the helmet off, and a one-handed fit-adjustment knob pivots to improve overall ergonomics while providing extra clearance for bandana or ponytail knots. A padded, moisture-wicking, odor-resistant sweatband and top pad line the sides, forehead and top of the interior, and both the headband and top pad are removable for machine-washing and/or easy replacement. An integrated chin strap allows the wearer to secure the helmet in place to ensure protection during sudden movements, falls and impacts. Built with even weight-distribution and comfort in mind, all Skullerz 8974 helmets should deliver a snug, balanced fit to please nearly anyone. Patent-pending headlamp slots on the front and rear accommodate Skullerz Hard Hat Headlamps (lamps sold separately). For jobs where increased eye protection is needed, the helmet also accommodates easy, bolt-on mounting of Skullerz Safety Helmet Visors (visors also sold separately).
